Suicide Attacks “Un-Islamic” Fatwa by MUC

Suicide Attacks in PakistanThe Muttahida Ulema Council (MUC), United Scholars Council, has issued unanimously a fatwa (decree) against ‘suicide attack’, occurred inside Pakistan, declaring those ‘Haram’ (means forbidden) and illegitimate, in a conference of Muslim clerics from across Pakistan at the Jamia Naeemia. Moreover, the body of clerics has declared that only the state had the authority to call for jihad (holy war), and those individuals or groups were not authorized to do that. To mention suicide bombings as “un-Islamic”, the fatwa said that the government should halt military operations in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and conduct negotiations with the people there to end militancy.

The decree (fatwa) issued at a time when Islamic militants have launched a spate of suicide bombings against administration, government forces, politicians and general people. Already, hundreds of citizens, typically security personnel, have been killed in the last 16 months, including no less than 55 victims who perished in a suicide truck bombing at the Marriott Hotel in Islamabad, the capital city, on 20, September, 2008.

The experts and the concern Pakistanis think that similar edicts (fatwa) have been released in the past as well; however, a lot of hard-line Pakistanis say those were issued by pro-government ulemas (Islamic Scholar) as part of a campaign to mitigate up anti-American public sentiment and gratify the U.S government and the West. But, the new edict have came from a powerful group of ulemas that incorporated representatives of Islamist organizations; and those are suspected of involvement in fighting against Indian troops in Kashmir province and U.S-led international forces in Afghanistan.

On the other hand, the group has given a threat to declare jihad against the USA if it do not stop recently increased air strikes in the Pakistani border. According to the daily newspaper The News, “American aggression against Pakistan escalates, jihad might be announced after due consultation,” warned by MUC because it believes that U.S government has a wider agenda of neutralizing the strategic assets of Pakistan, the only nuclear power in the Islamic world. Now, wait to see, the new declaration can make what types of impact on Islamic militants and how the USA face this new threat.

McCain VS Obama – Last TV Debate

McCain VS ObamaJohn McCain is swiftly trailing to Barack Obama in the estimation polls, a circumstances made more unsafe by the awful economic condition. The last chance to the McCain for defeating Obama was last TV debate. Though, McCain loose first two TV debates clearly. So it was the last chance for him. But Obama was judged to have come out of the debate a victor on points and this was a big disappointment for the McCain campaign. McCain group needed a big succeed to turn tide of voter emotion around in the last month of the contest.

A total of 56.5 million spectators watched Wednesday’s debate between Democratic Senator Barack Obama and Republican Senator John McCain. Oil investor Matt Simmons said that regarding half of Obama’s explanation make some sense, and only about 10 percent of McCain’s make sense. Obama seemed more relaxed but McCain came across angrier. It just appears everybody’s leaning toward Obama. And a plus point is that everybody likes the experience he’s had in the past. In their debate one of the most vital discussions was on how they will control the American economic system. During their debate at Belmont University the candidates set out simply different plans for the financial system as both men blamed each other of sketch plans to tax the middle classes. With economic markets in plummet and the financial system tipping into depression the candidates were asked how they would save older voters particularly from economic damage. And Obama’s sketch program of economic control was evidently better than McCain.

Bill Daugherty of NGAS Resources said that both candidates have parallel plans, now that Obama has decided to some offshore drilling, but that Obama wants a bonus profits tax and McCain doesn’t. Others, John W. Robinson of North Ranch Resources said, “I see energy policies being a broad-based set of criteria through which we address both the production and demand sides, do conservation work and look at all alternatives. Unfortunately, some political factions want to limit one or more of those.”

Different politician and intellectual give various comments about the debate. But from all of these comments it has been appeared that in the TV debate Obama bid McCain undoubtedly.

US Troops will Withdraw by 2011

US TroopsThe U.S. and Iraqi officials announced on Wednesday; at last, the U.S and Iraqi government have decided a final agreement after months of negotiation on a pact to allow US troops to stay in Iraq, according to the agreement, U.S. forces to withdraw from Iraq by the year of 2011.

The bilateral pact, which was submitted to Iraqi senior political leaders in draft form, as well, touched on the prickly question of whether US soldiers could be tried in Iraqi court for crimes committed while deployed in Iraq. This issue of jurisdiction over US troop criminality had been delaying the agreement for a while. After approval from the political leaders, the document will be present at the Iraqi parliament, said Ali al-Dabbagh, Iraqi government spokesman. But, State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said: “Nothing is done until everything is done. Everything isn’t done. The Iraqis are still talking among themselves. We are still talking to the Iraqis.”

On the other hand, one of the senior U.S. officials in Washington, who asked not to mention named, ensured that the final draft had been agreed by both countries and would make U.S. forces to leave by the end of 2011, unless Iraqi government want them to stay longer. Here, the administration of U.S. President George W. Bush has long resisted committing to schedule for withdrawing from Iraq.

Iraqi officials said the pact envisions U.S. troops withdrawing from Iraqi towns and villages by the middle of next year, and withdrawing totally from the country within three years. If forces want to stay longer, a new agreement would require to be agreed.

Ali al-Dabbagh said:

The withdrawal is to be achieved in three years. In 2011, the government at that time will determine whether it needs a new pact or not, and what type of pact will depend on the challenges it faces.

The agreement replaces a U.N. Security Council resolution enacted after the U.S. attack of Iraq in the year of 2003 and this will give Iraq’s government authority over the U.S. soldiers’ presence for the first time. Baghdad said, the pact had secured the right to prosecute U.S. soldiers for serious crimes under certain circumstances.
