It is the most remarkable moment of a woman life. But the cruel reality is that, even this is a blessed event but it doesn’t bring glad news to all of your life activities. Cause pregnant woman still face job discrimination.

However, pregnancy supposed to be an exciting and happy experience, but unfortunately, at work, many women gets unfair, unsafe and unlawful behaviors. In a statistic report it has been found that around 40% of all enquiries is added with pregnancy discrimination than any other issue, and over 1,000 women a year take legal action against their employer claiming they were sacked because of their pregnancy. With the enormous happiest news of women life, she also heard that she is sacked, refused jobs or bullied out of work for announcing her good news. Obviously, there are economic reasons why a firm might not want to hire a pregnant woman or not want to keep a pregnant woman. But they don’t think about reality, one time this woman gave so much for you. So it is needed to stand with him on his happiest moment.

You cannot reject to hire a woman because she is pregnant. You cannot fire her because she is pregnant. Even if you ask a woman about her child-rearing plans, and don’t do the same of your male job applicants or employees, that is also illegal. Pregnancy discrimination is definitely illegal.   • Are you fired or discharge because you are pregnant?
  • Are you not appointed because you are pregnant?
  • Are you not being promoted because of your pregnancy?
  • Are you not given benefits for pregnancy because you are not wedded?

So here is strong law for gaining your right. Here are some ways in which pregnant women are sheltered:

  • A company cannot reject to hire somebody because she is pregnant or has a pregnancy associated situation.
  • A company may not remain a pregnant woman from working or forbid a woman from returning to work after giving birth.
  • An employer can’t submit to special procedures in order to determine whether she can perform her job duties except the employer needs all employees to submit to those procedures.
  • Any company-provided health insurance plan must care for pregnancy related situation the same as other medical situation.
  • An employer must care for a pregnant lady who can’t do her job owing to a medical condition associated to her pregnancy the same way he treats all temporarily disabled employees.
