However as with any style of government there are advantages and disadvantages of a Democracy.

The main advantage of a Democracy is that a country’s citizens feel a part of the process. Getting to vote on representatives allows you to have your voice heard no matter who you are. Free elections also allow for the people in Democracy to make changes to their government without having to resort to violence.

They way a Democracy is set up the people at the top also have certain responsibilities to Joe everyday citizen. The reality is if you want to be re-elected to your position you have to serve the people who have the ability to elect you again. There is no resting on your laurels in a Democracy.

There are a few key disadvantages to the Democracy as well. Just because people have the right to vote and can does not mean that they really understand complex government issues. So you can have large elements of people casting votes and not making very good decisions based on bad or misunderstood information.

Another disadvantage is that people can be heavily influenced by special interest groups in a Democracy. There becomes almost a team or mob mentality that makes people vote their party or their cause rather than critically thinking through what choice will help the most people.

Why do people need government? This is a question that you may have asked at one point or another. This is especially true when you hear about so many corrupt policies taking place amongst members of the government.

The people need government for the welfare of themselves and their families. The government is responsible to be a voice and represent the best interest of the people as a whole.

There needs to be a regulating authority when a large group of people is involved and this is what America needs. If there were no governing body in charge of the people it would be a completely different word ruled by one ruler, or completely chaotic and out of control. The interest of the people in a whole would be ignored and it is likely that the benefits of a small group of people would be the only concern.

Economic security is another reason that people need a government. If this economic security was disrupted many people that rely on programs like disability would have no where to turn. This would make for a very scary situation for anyone that relies on much needed government programs to help them with their daily life.

The government is designed to provide the laws that the citizens want and need and when you are wondering why do people need government, you may want to think about a society that has no clear laws and also no one to uphold these laws. While many people are very critical of the current state of the government it can be much harder to imagine a society without this crucial element.

Another answer to why do people need government, is that the nation development depends on a governing body. If a body of people want to move forward in a concise way there needs to be a governing party to oversee this and make sure that it is done within the boundaries of set laws.

There are many answers to the question why do people need government. You may wonder what life would be like without a government and for many people this would bring about many bleak changes. A government is needed to represent the people and ensure that the country is a safe and prospering country. You may want to take a closer look at other countries without a government and see if this is a place where you would want to call home.

In 1901 his vision became a reality and the first prize was awarded. The Nobel Prize has been awarded to many distinguished people since then and it is still one of the highest honors of its kind.

The Nobel Peace Prize is awarded for physics, physiology, literature, medicine, and chemistry. Every year the Norwegian Nobel Committee accepts nominations for the Nobel Prize. There are usually several nominees from many different backgrounds all over the world. In 2009 there were over 200 nominations and just being nominated is a very distinguished achievement.

The Nobel Peace Prize is awarded on December 10th of each year and this is the anniversary of the death of Alfred Noble. The award is presented by the chairman of the committee in the presence of the King of Norway. There is a Nobel Prize Concert after every ceremony and this concert is broadcast in over 450 million homes. This brings out the biggest stars for a great event each year.

Winning the Nobel Peace Prize is often viewed as the most coveted award to be received in a lifetime. There is a lot of honor and respect associated with this prize and this can affect the entire life of the winner. Al Gore and President Obama are among a couple of the many that have won the prize for their commitment to humanity.

Ronald Wilson Reagan was born on February 6, 1911 in Tampico, Illinois. He was born in an apartment on the second floor of the building and he has one brother, Neil Reagan. Ronald Reagan learned in his youth about discrimination and when a local hotel would not allow a group of African Americans to stay, he brought them home to stay with his family and his mother cooked them breakfast in the morning. His mother had a very positive nature and she instilled this within Reagan. This helped him to place these views in his political life.

Reagan started his career as a sportscaster and as more people begin to hear his voice, he moved up rather quickly and was eventually broadcasting for the Cubs. His voice was perfect for radio and while traveling with the Cubs, he auditioned for an acting part and this would be the beginning of his acting career.

In the 1930’s he moved to Los Angeles and made around 50 films. Even though he was a B list actor, he was well known by many people that watched television and movies. He was also a spokesman for GE and this is where he discovered politics.

Reagan enlisted in the Army Reserves in 1937, but due to his eyesight problems, he was never sent to serve overseas. He completed many projects on US soil however, and he had completed many training courses.

Reagan married actress Jane Wyman in 1938 and they had three children, one of which died at one day old and another they adopted. They divorced in 1949 and this made him the only President that has been divorced ever. He then met Nancy Davis in 1949 and they were married in 1952, they had a son and daughter together. Reagan began his political career in California as Governor from 1967 to 1975. He served two terms before stepping down in 1975. In 1976 Reagan was nominated as a Presidential candidate for the Republican Party. He won Presidency against Jimmy Carter in 1980 and he went on to serve two terms.

There was an assassination attempt on his life in 1981 by John Hinckley Jr. His press secretary James Brady and two others were shot during the attempt. The bullet lodged in President Reagan’s lung and had to be surgically removed. The bullet was very close to his heart and it was said that he was very lucky to be alive.

In 1994, Ronald Reagan was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and his family rallied behind him, especially his wife Nancy. The President later died on June 5, 2004, ending his lifelong legacy.

He accomplished a great deal during his term as he led the country through the Civil War while preserving the Union and ending slavery. But it all began in 1809.

Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12, 1809 to Thomas Lincoln and Nancy Hanks in a one-room log cabin in southeast Hardin County, Kentucky. With this, he actually became the first President to be born in the west.

Despite just 18 months of schooling, Lincoln was largely self-educated as he was an avid reader. While he was highly skilled with an axe, it was his talent and skills with wrestling that gave him the self-confidence to pursue his goals in life.

At just under 6’ 4”, the tall President was a strong and powerful figure for the country to stand behind. Many consider him to be one of greatest U.S. Presidents of all time with everything he accomplished over the years. Sadly, it was cut short when he became the first American president to be assassinated.

It was on April 14, 1865 that Lincoln attended the play Our American Cousin. With Lincoln sitting in his state box in the balcony, John Wilkes Booth crept up behind the President and shot him at point-blank range with a round-ball .44 caliber Deringer in the head. After 12 days of chasing Booth, he was finally cornered and shot to death in a Virginia barn house.

Despite just four years in office, Abraham Lincoln lived a long and fulfilling life. Between what he did for slavery, the Civil War and the Gettysburg Address, he is one of the most recognized figures in American history.

One of the things that most people wonder about this President is where he was born. Barack Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on August 4, 1961. His mothers name is Stanley Ann Dunham and he is named after his father Barack Obama Sr. He is indeed a United States citizen as he was born in the United States.

Many people think that President Obama is Muslim, and while that may be part of his childhood, he has professed on many occasions that he does practice Christianity and has for at least 20 years. He says that he and his family regularly attend church and they use the Bible. He has stated this fact many times, but it is still widely reported that he is an avid Muslim which has turned out to be false information.

Many people also wonder about Michelle Obama. The First Lady is 5’11” tall which makes her one of the tallest First Ladies in history. She has reported this information herself on some of the most popular morning shows. She met Barack at a law firm where she was employed as a lawyer at the time and they were then married in 1992.

There are many facts about Barack Obama that are incorrect, and finding accurate information may prove to be a challenge. If you are looking for more facts about this interesting President you may have to do some looking to find the facts that are relative and true.
